Want to Help as an Public Safety Professional?

We’ll make sure you’re ready.

There’s nothing more empowering than being the person in the room equipped to respond in the face of crisis. Our job is to educate and train you to become that person, offering excellent care – every time.

Part of the process is getting you certified. But not just certified for certification’s sake alone.
We want you confidently responding whenever there’s a need, while avoiding the tragic consequences of being underprepared.

Because – when it’s time to help – the life in your hands is counting on you to get it right.

What’s the Difference between an EMT and a Paramedic?

EMTs

As first responders, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) answer emergency calls and transport patients to medical facilities. They are responsible for assessing a patient’s condition and managing respiratory, cardiac and trauma emergencies. They generally receive 190 hours of education and training.

Paramedics

Paramedics, on the other hand, are advanced providers of emergency medical care who receive approximately 1200 hours of education and training. They start IV’s, give medication, as well as use advanced airway management techniques to help patients breathe. They are trained in advanced cardiac life support and make transport decisions to take patients to the most appropriate hospitals. They serve as leaders on their teams in the field.
